“This tour is a very good overview of the Big Island. Our guide was quite knowledgeable about the island, Hawaiian culture and very personable for the entire trip. It takes a whole day but is well worth it. We highly recommend it!”

“We had a wonderful walk through the forest to see several waterfalls, with the highlight being a refreshing swim at the base of one of the falls. It was a nice sunny day but the trail was a little slick at some points. I’d recommend wearing tennis or hiking shoes and bringing water shoes for the swim. It is very rocky getting in the water. After the swim we had a picnic lunch with a gorgeous view of the ocean and neighboring cliffs and valleys. Our guide was excellent and we met some great people in our group of hikers.”

“Big Mike was awesome! We loved our tour with all the little touches like the lei, snacks, gift, and friendly service. We just missed the eruption of the volcano which was a tad disappointing but Mike had said he thought it was going to happen! He had great info about the area and many of our stops. He took us to a great lunch which is included. The farmers market for some souvenirs and fruit to eat at the beach. Definitely enjoyed the small group feel of our tour and would do another tour with Lehua tours.”

“Beware that this tour does NOT include Volcanoes Natl Park even though the park is located on the South Loop. One of the side trips the tour recommended was completely inaccurate. There was an option for clockwise and counterclockwise loop. But only the counterclockwise loop seemed to work for us. The sections that worked properly were informative. I assume that some of our issues could have been due to operator error. An easy way to access help would be great.”

“10/10! Shawn was amazing!!! We learned all about the island and felt like we got to see it all! Meals were delicious and Shawn was prepared for everything. We kept a good pace and got to see so much of the island. He took pictures, gave us tips for dining and was great with our kids. We learned so much and enjoyed the waterfalls, sunset, black sand beach, Volcanos national park and more. This would our favorite tour of the island and if it is your first time to Hawaii I could not recommend this tour more!”
